The management team of BayWa Greentechpark GmbH has successfully completed their buyout from parent company BayWa Global Produce. Managing Directors Ryan Archer, Georg Czerny and Dominik Hartl will now guide horizon growers into the next stage of their mission to develop sustainable high-tech indoor farms throughout Europe.

"We are proud to have been a part of BayWa for so long and thank them for their continued support, their role in our development as a team through our project in the Middle East has helped provide the foundations for our success in this exciting sector. We now look forward to focusing on executing our vision of providing more sustainable fresh produce, closer to the consumer" Georg Czerny, CEO."

Benedikt Mangold (CEO, BayWa Global Produce) confirmed the departure is met with fond wishes of success "All at BayWa Global Produce wish the team every success in their exciting journey, we look forward to working closely together in the future".

The horizon growers team first met in 2018 in the UAE where they were responsible for developing and operating their first 10ha high-tech indoor farm. After the successful sale of this operation in 2022 the team turned their attention to Europe to address concerns of sustainability and supply chain stability within fresh produce.

Horizon growers are currently working on multiple projects across Europe, with the goal of creating sustainable high-tech indoor farms to grow better produce, closer to people.
